We work with Congress and the administration so the industry’s position is understood and existing laws are enforced and interpreted fairly.

We track legislation impacting the industry in all 50 states, and take action on state bills that directly impact the toy industry.

Safety Education Program

Free for members, it provides a detailed overview of key state, federal, and international safety regulations and requirements.

Issue Briefs & Guides

Members-only briefs provide introductory overviews on industry issues and legislation.

Federal

Together with our members, we advocate on federal issues that impact the toy industry, children, factory workers, and the environment. We invite all members to take an active role in helping us shape and share the industry’s voice in government.

Marketing to children

Our goal is to preserve the toy industry’s right to communicate to children in a responsible and safe manner while protecting the rights & privacy of children.

Environmental Sustainability

The industry is committed to reducing its environmental impact through package reduction, increased use of recycled and bio-materials, and renewable energy sources.

U.S. safety standards

The Toy Association’s Safety Standards and Technical Committee monitors activity on issues related to product safety standards, testing, and quality assurance issues.

TOYPAC

The Political Action Committee (TOYPAC) directs financial support received by individuals to key federal policymakers to advance the industry’s message.

State

We work with members to educate lawmakers on key issues impacting the toy industry, and to identify and respond to priority legislation in all 50 states. Each year, the Toy Association acts on more than 100 key bills that have a direct impact on the toy industry.

International

The toy industry is a global business with many moving parts. International standards

ISO 8124 is an international toy safety standard. The Toy Association has also compiled a list of other international standards for toys and children's products.
